Dialogue

 The Final project. I decided to animate more original characters because I intend to use them for a personal project and wanted to get some practice in. The main girl is in prototype mode and I will probably change her design later on, but it's good for right now. For this personal project, there is a male and female form option and I just chose the female because I can better voice the her. Unfortunately, I recorded the dialogue on my phone and it sounds kind of muffled. I tried my best to fix it in audition but, overall, couldn't do much to salvage it. It was the best take and I didn't want to re-record it because I had to start animating it. Overall, very fun, very pleased with it.

Puppet

 This project was easy to put together but I had difficulties linking everything to the pegs. It requires a different mindset because you are looking at your flat drawing like a motherboard and determining which pegs will connect to what. I got it in the end but is was still hard. I decided to go with an original character of mine and I wanted to animate her like a sprite from a mobile game I enjoy playing. Originally, she's not a mage, but I just wanted to make something fun using her. 

The Walk

 Once I got used to the program, My process got a little quicker. I was able to organize this project in a timely manner. It's just a simple walk cycle, so I chose to animate Chiaki Nanami from the visual novel, Danganronpa . I chose her because she usually walks around with some type of gaming device in her hands and focusing intently on it. This way, I didn't have to draw arms moving. :)

Weight

 This assignment almost killed me, not going to lie. All my previous confidence I had built up from my past animations went out the window. When I think of something, have to do everything in my power to get it done. But sometimes the quality of something gets traded out in favor of turning something in on time. But I try not to skimp out on the quality if I can help it. I truly tried my best even if I had to scrap some ideas to make my vision work. Though it's not as good as I would like it to be, I don't really have the skills to make it better just yet. Maybe one day. The concept was, kid tries to wield a sword but sword is too big and heavy. These are the sketches I did before I started animating. I chose to not go with one of my original characters and picked someone from one of my favorite games, Fire Emblem: Three Houses , and de-aged him to be easier to animate. I say easier to animate because I thought that a smaller character would be more forgiving but it was hard ei...

The Sack

 This assignment was really fun. It was a lot easier to animate something that has no limbs because you have less things to worry about. But at the same time, it's very useful to animate a simplified humanoid shape.  Here are the Gesture sketches I drew. I kinda perceived the sack to be some sort of animal with no arms. And here is the finished video. 

Head Turn

 Head Turn This assignment seemed pretty straight forward and I had a clear picture of what I wanted to do. I imagined a generic anime girl doing a cute little anime girl turn. Her eyes look away from what she was watching to land on yours and it surprises her for a second but then turns her head to give you a smile. Cute, simple, quick. And the process wasn't even that bad.  I learned a lot from the previous assignment and started to do things a little differently and a little more organized. Once I stopped trying to draw everything in motion and focus on where the positions of the individual drawings should be at certain times, It got a lot easier.

Overlapping Animation

 Overlapping Animation I wanted to try something a little challenging. Well, challenging for me anyway. I wanted to try and animate how clothes and hair react to movement. Most things that dangle from clothing or a person's head can be simplified to a pendulum type movement and I thought it would be a good thing to try and animate. However, I bit off more than I could chew because it didn't really come out the way I wanted to. But we learn from our failures and move on to make better things.
